I am May-Helén Mogstad, a camera-based artist situated Telemark, Norway.
My formal training is a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts and Design from the University of South-Eastern Norway. Outside of the formal training, I have experimented with different mediums and expressions as ways of looking beyond what the eye can see. No other medium has captured me quite like photography and digital graphic arts.
The camera is my tool to explore the world I live in, and a way to share my point of view. I love to experiment with the limits of the photographic medium.
I try to capture a feeling, a mood or perhaps a memory. I find these in the different facets of light and shadow, colours and shapes that surrounds us.
